The Division of Deafness provides a program of services to deaf, late deafened, and hard of hearing citizens of Maine. This includes: publication of A Guide to Deaf Services in Maine; Maine Lines for the Deaf (quarterly newsletter), information and referral, advocacy, statewide registry, certification of hearing dogs and accessibility promotion. The Division of Deafness contracts with the Maine Center on Deafness for the Telecommunications Equipment Project.
