Demonstrations
The following organizations and vendors provide demonstrations of assistive technology devices. AT Device Demonstrations compare the features and benefits of a particular AT device or category of devices for an individual or small group of individuals. The purpose of a device demonstration is to enable an individual to make an informed choice about the benefit of accessing AT. ALLTECH

Assistive Technology Collection at University of Maine Farmington
The Assistive Technology Collection, part of the Kalikow Curriculum Materials Center Assistive Technology Collection, is a resource offered free to UMF students, faculty, and staff, and to professionals in the community, individuals with disabilities, and their families. The Assistive Technology Collection provides a place to view assistive technology (AT) devices, to receive a demonstration of the AT, and to obtain information about AT in general. Recreation Assistive Technology Exchange (RATE) at USM offers an extensive information resource and the opportunity to try out AT devices for adapted recreation such as bowling, fishing, golf, gardening, etc. When the devices are not being used for academics purposes, individuals can make an appointment to view or try a device that s/he is considering for purchase or has intentions of making. Maine Accessibility Corporation is a locally owned and operated business offering sales and service for a wide range of equipment designed to help people move easily about their home or office in their day to day lives. Smart Assistive Technologies
Smart Assistive Technologies is a leading provider of AT consulting and training services in New Hampshire and Maine. The New England Medical Equipment Dealers Association (NEMED)
The New England Medical Equipment Dealers Association (NEMED) has many members throughout Maine who sell and service a large array of adaptive devices, AT and medical equipment for people of all ages to use at home, school or work.
